Joshua Demain began studying art at Pinellas County Center for Arts at Gibbs High School in 1993. By 2001 he had worked his way through much of the
UAA art department and moved to Florida to attend Ringling College of Art and Design, where he earned his BFA. At Montclair State University, New
Jersey, Joshua continued his studies and achieved an MFA in 2006. He has been back in Alaska since 2008. Making art is his primary occupation.
