Oscar Wilde created his final and most lasting play, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, in 1895. Considered one of the greatest comic masterpieces of all time this farce plays with love, religion, and truth as it tells the tale of two men whose deceptions result in a series of crises that threaten to spoil their romantic pursuits.
Teresa K. Pond (Director): Most recently Teresa directed Peter and the Starcatcher for Perseverance Theatre (Juneau, Anchorage). New York production of Pinkalicious is in an extended run (8+ years) with national tours; and an international performance run in Toronto, Canada. Other NYC credits include: Richard III (New York Classical Theatre, Off-Broadway), Words of Choice, Much Ado About Nothing & NY Fringe award-winner Half Life. Regionally her musicals, opera, comedies and dramas include shows such as Caroline or Change(Cyrano’s Theatre), Macbeth (L.A. Times review), The Clean House and Nickel and Dimed (Western Stage Theatre), The Foreigner, The Man Who Came To Dinner; Suor Angelica and Pagliacci (Anchorage Opera), Barber of Seville and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Recently shows she directed in Anchorage: Flowers for Algernon, Spirit: 7th Fire of AK, and upcoming, Teresa is directing Candide for Anchorage Opera (April 2018). Teresa is a proud member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
