AUDITIONS

Actors are hired on a contractual basis and are paid professional stipends. You may send your resume and headshot anytime to production@cyranos.org.

BAREFOOT IN THE PARK auditions will take place on January 7th at 6pm with callbacks being held on January 8th at 6pm!

Auditions are by appointment only, please contact production@cyranos.org to secure your time slot!

MORE INFORMATION & WHAT TO PREPARE

The first day of auditions will be 15 min slots. Please be prepared to answer the question “What visual picture comes to mind when you think of the 60s? What song comes to mind when talking about the 60s?” Each actor will then be asked to read one of the prepared solo sides. Actors who are called back will be asked to attend our callback auditions the following evening. Actors will have several chances to read from different scenes of the play.

America’s Best Rom-Com!  Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring, and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running “barefoot in the park” would be a start…
